I read a very interesting
new in “las ultimas noticias” a very popular diary in Chile. It’s talk about a
pacient in chilean teletón who recive a 3-D hand, his name is Wladimir Silva He
is 22 years old, was born with Poland
Syndrome. That meens he doesn’t has many muscule in his hand and an has
amputation of his fingers. The hand was send from EE.UU. The man who made this
awesome prototype was Jorge Zuñiga a physiologist . He made the hand in 5 hours
and the materials for the hand only cost 25 dollars. Teletón will check the prototypes
in different people.
Im interesting in this
new because it is an oportunity not only for Wladimir, it’s a very good
oportunity for all the people who have similar problems. Im impressed because
the man who made it, and made the machine is physiologist, but he obviously know
a lot of technology.
This same tecnhology can
be use it in others areas of the helth like Odontology, the same 3-D printer
maybe can make prosthesis for people without teeth. Or make for orthodontycs,
for example dental device. In my opinion the more remarkable caracterstic of
this technology is that it can use it with movements of the budy. A lot of
persons who use wheelchair could be assisted with tis tecnhology.
